How to use StudyLane for success

The whole idea: Open the app → Press Start → Study. A little every day beats a lot once in a while.

1. Set up once (2 minutes)

🦊

Make it yours

Add your name and pick an avatar on the Today screen.

📘

Set the lesson

Choose the lesson your class is on right now (1-1 to 2-5). Update it whenever school moves ahead.

⏱️

Pick your time

Quick 15, Standard 30, or Deep 45–60 minutes. StudyLane fits the plan to your time.

🔁

Bring it along

Sign in with Google so your streak, lesson and Error Journal appear on the school laptop, the home desktop and a parent's phone. Skip it and everything stays on this one computer.

2. Every day

▶️

Press START

Don't browse — just follow the steps in order. The app already picked what matters most today.

✏️

Try before help

Give each problem a real try first. Then climb the Help Ladder one step at a time only if you need it.

🔧

Don't skip Repair

Repair fixes older skills that make today's lesson harder. Small fixes now = big wins later.

🎭

Decode the story

In Same Math, Different Story, always find the starting value (b) and the rate of change (m).

✅

Finish the Quick Check

It shows what really stuck and keeps your streak 🔥 going.

The three lanes

NOW

What your class is learning this week.

REPAIR

Missing earlier skills that are getting in the way.

REVIEW

Quick reminders of past skills so you don't forget them.

When you're stuck 🆘

  1. Re-read the problem and try once more.
  2. Ask: what kind of problem is this?
  3. Look at a similar example.
  4. Take a hint.
  5. Study the worked example.
  6. Watch the short video.

Mistakes are saved to your Error Journal and come back later as review — that's how they turn into strengths.

For parents & teachers 👪

  • • Check the Parent page once a week — look at what's being repaired and what's ready for review.
  • • Keep the current lesson matched to school. This is the #1 thing that makes sessions useful.
  • • Celebrate the streak, not perfect scores. Consistency beats cramming.
  • • Read the Error Journal together. Ask: "What's the rule you'll remember next time?"
  • • Short and daily wins: 15 minutes every day beats 2 hours once a week.
